The word Inflammation derives from the latin “inflammare” which means to set on fire. Joint pain after a workout or redness and swelling after a sprain are considered types of Inflammation, more specifically called acute inflammation.

Acute Inflammation

Acute inflammation is specific to inflammation to one area of the body during an injury. In the event of an injury during an accident or playing sports, Non-invasive pain relief techniques are always available to support healing and reduce pain of the injured area.

Until recent times we have been exploring a different kinds of inflammation called chronic inflammation. The level of chronic inflammation will determine the level of health a person holds into the future.

What is Chronic Inflammation

In most cases, white blood cells protect from foreign substances in the body by releasing powerful chemicals to fight off these substances but can also damage tissues and cause swelling in the process. Processed and refined foods contain substances that your body doesn’t know what to do with. The immune system reacts to these substances from these foods and over time can lead to a general state of inflammation in the whole body.

Treat the body well

When the body is not treated well, the immune system attacks through a silent war because the effects are not felt right away. Day after day, white blood cells release a host of chemicals which can damage any tissue in the body such as the heart, lungs , kidneys etc.. and increases the chance of a stroke, heart attack, and diabetes. Even neurological disorders can develop such as Alzheimer’s disease. The effects of chronic inflammation can be devastating.

Reduce Chronic Inflammation

It may sound scary, but this should be a wake up call. In continuous consumption of unhealthy foods, the immune system is stuck in a never ending war. Tissue damage will go on and on. How do you calm the immune system down? First is to change the anti-inflammatory foods that is on the plate.

Veggies, Veggies and more Veggies
